2018 Turkey Certificates is brought to you by Ute Tribal Enterprises, LLC and Ute Water Settlement Department.
Turkey Certificates will be available being Tuesday, November 6th .
Hours: Monday 8:00 a.m -12:00 pm, and Friday 1:00 – 4:30 pm.
You may pick-up your Turkey Certificates from the Ute Tribe Enterprise office.
Bring your Tribal ID & proof of Head of Household are required upon pick-up.

UPDATE FROM UINTAH & OURAY AGENCY:
Invitation of Sealed bids on Farm & Pasture Agricultural Leases.
Deadline for Submission: Wednesday, November 7th at 4:30 pm,
Bid Opening date & time: Thursday, November 8th at 2:00 pm, at Utah State University, MPR Room, 987 E. Lagoon St. in Roosevelt.
All bids should be submitted on a U&O Bid form. The Lease will be awarded to the highest bidder and will not be offered any preference. Except for Tribal preference given on lands, (see leasing Tribal lands)
Submit one bid form with the item number.
All bids is requires a 25% Bid Deposit of the amount of your bid offer to be included with each bid.

INFORMATION FROM THE BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS:
Annual Water user meeting is scheduled for Thursday, November 8th , in Roosevelt held at the Utah State University multi-purpose room, beginning at 3:30 – 5:30 pm.
The focus will be Nominations for water user from the Duchesne River drainage, and Allottee Representative can submit to the Superintendent for appointment to serve on the UIIP Board of Directors.
The meeting will be in conjunction with BIA Realty Farm & Pasture Lease, BIA Realty Lease sale will be 2:30 – 5:30 pm.
HEALTH NEWS FROM UTE FAMILY SOCIAL SERVICES:
Finally, a low cost Health Plan for Uninsured Adults. PCN (Primary Care Network)
Open Enrollment for all adults, is scheduled for November 1st to December 15th , 2018.

Tuesday, Nov. 13th – Elder’s Thanksgiving Day Luncheon.

UPCOMING U.S. ELECTION:
On Election day, we will transport Elders to Uintah County for you to vote on November 6. 2018.
Duchesne County has a mail in voting process. All votes matter and all votes count. Those living in Duchesne County, it’s not too late to fill out ballots. At 2:00 pm one of the staff member is diving to the Duchesne County Office to drop off ballots.

Thank you Note: to the employees who greeted our children and staff for the Trick or Trick through the Tribal building.
Our children and staff came back to their centers and talked about how much fun they had. Thank you.
Is having a Clothing Exchange for Head Start Families and Community. We will be having a clothing exchange November 13rd – 15th , from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. at the Head Start Administration Building.
We will be accepting gently used clothing, jackets, and shoes. Please NO ripped or stained clothing.
This is a free event, so come trade your gently used clothing! You do not have to donate to get clothing.

NEWS UPDATE FROM UTE LANGUAGE PROGRAM:
Congratulations!!, goes out to our Ute Language Teacher May Lee Mountain for receiving the 2018 Indigenous Language Institute’s President’s Award.
Brief information about this special award:
The president’s award given at the ILI Symposium is to recognize one first language speaker and one second language learner who are in attendance at the Symposium. We look for those who have dedicated to the language work in terms of number of years and openness to learning of the language who demonstrates commitment to the language work.
