PUBLIC NOTICE: Notice is hereby given that the Ute Indian Tribe & The Ute Tribe Brand Inspection Department of the Uintah & Ouray Indian Reservation in publishing this notice in regards to the Ute Tribe Brand Inspection Dept. to conduct a Livestock Roundup in the following areas.

  • Randlett & Surrounding Areas
  • Ouray & Surrounding Areas
  • Hill Creek Extension & Surrounding Areas

Under the Livestock Trespass Ordinance 13-002 The Livestock Roundup will take effect after September 5, 2022 if you may have any questions contact Zane Tahguv Brand Inspector Coordinator at 435.823.7003 or Sapianaze LaRose Brand Inspector at 435.823.2470


UTE INDIAN TRIBES COVID RESTRICTION: Per Resolution 22072 all Covid19 restrictions have been lifted, effective immediately including the Mask Mandate. The Mandatory Vaccination Policy is still in place. All individuals conducting business with the Business Committee are required to show proof of vaccination prior to entering Business Committee Chamber. Also by order of the Chairman of the Ute Indian Tribe, Stage I Fire Restriction have been imposed until rescinded. This applies to all land within the Uintah and Ouray Indian Reservation. UTE TRIBE SENIOR PROGRAM: The Senior Citizen & Painted Horse Dept. will be holding Senior exercise classes every Monday & Wednesday @ 2:00pm here at the Senior Citizen bldg. if you need a ride please contact the center or for more information. We also are doing fumigating for pest and rodents in the elder’s home if you need pest control to come to your residence please contact us at the center or If you need help with winterizing your home, please contact the Senior Dept. Just a reminder the center is open for your use. We would like to welcome Carolyn Duffy to our Dept she is outreach and meal delivery for seniors. & wishing all the Elders & Seniors celebrating another year in September Happy Birthday from the us all here at the Senior Citizen Dept.   • Join us to learn how we are helping adults who are at risk of developing type 2 diabetes make lasting healthy habits Wednesday September 14, 2022. At 5pm at the Painted Horse building. Also you can meet with a Diabetes Educator First Tuesday of the month from 5:30pm to 6:30pm.

UTE TRIBE RECREATION: Announcements are as follows:

  • Basketball Conditioning every Monday and Thursday ages 6-9. Starting September 12th and ending November 3rd, 2022 this will be held at the Whiterocks Gym from 5:00pm to 6:30pm. please bring your own ball.
  • Hocus Pocus 2 Costume Party come dressed as your favorite Hocus Pocus character. September 30th, 2022. Prizes will be given for the best dressed.
  • Open Co-Ed Basketball Tournament 8 player limit. (age 18+) October 14 & 15, 2022. Entry fee $175 and a $80 deposit is needed to be put on the bracket. Deadline is September 22nd at 4pm.
  • FALL FESTIVAL October 22, 2022 at the Fort Duchesne Gym 10am-3pm. There will be Bounce Houses, Games and Treats for all the kids, be sure to join us in all the Festivities.

U&O IHS CLINIC: Has their vaccination and immunization clinic for all ages every Wednesday at the Wellness Center from 1 to 4pm. Please call 725-6815 to get on the clinic schedule. From now on all medication prescriptions will need to be picked up and electronically signed for inside the U&O IHS clinic at the pharmacy window. The pharmacy will no longer be able to deliver medications out to the parking lot. All who enter the IHS Clinic MUST wear a mask covering their mouth and nose. Please make an appointment for your COVID shot by calling 725-6815.


DIALYSIS: You are invited to a Dialysis Meeting on September 20th at 9am & September 21st at 1pm. This will be located at the Tribal Auditorium refreshments will be served. For any questions you may contact Jessica Jenkins Tribal Dialysis Advocate at 435.823.2737


NATIONAL DAY OF SERVICE: On Monday 22 September 2022 community members, tribal employees, and family joined the Ute Tribe National Day of Service. This day has been set apart following the terrorist’s attacks on 9/11. A day of service was created to turn a day of tragedy into a day of service, fostering the spirit of unity and hope for good. Donations from the community, employees, families, and the Ute Tribe made this day a success. Thank you to the many volunteers for their time and efforts to commemorate this day. In some areas we exceeded our goals, in others we fell short. BIA BUREAU OF INDIAN AFFAIRS: Is having an Information Event September 15th, 2022. 9:00am – 3:00pm at the Ute Tribe Justice Center in Fort Duchesne. You can expect BIS-OJS Positions Descriptions how to Navigate through USAJOBS, Recruitment Event Information.


UIT EDUCATION: Ute Proud Game Performance is September 17th, 2022 at 8pm. Practice start Tuesday Sept. 6, 2022, Wednesday Sept. 7, 2022, Tuesday Sept. 13, 2022 and Final full dress practice will be Wednesday Sept. 14, 2022. ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH & ENGINEERING: Certified Food Manager Training provided by the Indian Health Service Office of Environmental Health & Engineering. Training date is Friday September 16, 2022 at 8:30am-5:00pm Training location will be at the Ute Crossing Grill 7491 US 40 in Fort Duchesne UT. Advanced Registration is Required. EAGLEVIEW ELEMENTARY:  To Eagle view parents, Ute Tribe Tutor Mentor applications have been sent home if you happen to need another there will be some packets at the front office and also down at the Ute Tribe Education Office you may also fill an application out online at utetribeeducation.org and click on the tutor mentor tab. Eagle view is looking for basketball coaches 6th – 8th grade boys and girls you can apply online at www.uintah.net click on employment at the bottom of the page under categories on the left click athletics/coaches. 

Eagle view 1st grade classes will be going on a field trip October 12th please make sure permission slips are signed they will be going out a week before the field trip.

RANDLETT COMMUNITY: On Sunday evenings, Narcotic Anonymous Meetings will proceed at 7pm. Anyone in need of a meeting, please feel free to come and join. LIHEAP: To get help with your Water Bill (Water Only) Please contact Lora Garcia LIHEAP/LIHWAP Coordinator at 435.725.4878 or on her cell phone at 435.823.2080 You may also pick up a LIHEAPLIHWAP application at the Ute Tribal Office in the front foyer.


UTE TRIBE TRANSIT: Drivers will be available from 8:00am-10am and in the afternoon from 2:00pm-4:00pm Monday through Thursday. The transit is not running Whiterocks routes due to no driver, the Roosevelt and Randlett routes are in service. If you need vehicle maintenance call Valirie Serawop @ 435-725-4929 and she will schedule you in. Call the transit office for any questions at 435.725.4984 or 435.823.8880.


UTE INDIAN TRIBE HEAD START: Is Accepting Applications for the School Year 2022-2023. First day of school will be September 19, 2022. Classes will be on site; parents will be given the option to receive learning packets. Open to all who reside in the Uintah Basin children 3-5 years old. Pick up an application at the Head Start Learning Center Monday through Thursday 8:00am – 4:30pm and on Friday 8:00am-12:00pm. contact them for additional questions at 435.722.4506


WATER SYSTEMS: Is putting a water restriction in place until further notice. No using culinary water to water lawns or livestock. Also a kindly reminder patron, DO NOT Flush paper towels, facial tissues, baby wipes, or flushable wipes. Flushing these items will cause issues in the sewer lines and septic tanks. Please only flush toilet paper ALSO - Trash cans need to be curb side by 7am; homes with two trash cans, place them a foot apart. There are dumpsters in the communities to accommodate larger items. REDPINE: Is now accepting application for Alcohol & Drug Residential Treatment. You may pick up an intake packet or stop by for more information. Question can be directed to Betty Lee at 435-722-9906 or 435-725-2833.

  • Intake/Assessments are done on Thursdays from "7am to 10am & 1pm to 3pm" Intake/Assessments take approximately 2 hours.
  • Wellbriety "Mending Broken Hearts" Native American Grief Recovery Meetings are every Wednesday from l0am - 11:30am. Call Rebecka McNeil to sign up at 435-725-2868.

September is Recovery Month Walk for Sobriety September 16th, 2022 location will be at the Fort Duchesne Veterans Monument at 8:30am – Noon. Walk, Run, Bike Shirts will be first come first serve after the walk. Breakfast will be served. For more information, call 435-722-9906
