NOTICE: TO ALL TRIBAL MEMBERS:

Updating your information with the vital Statistics Department, Treasury and Accounting Departments, is very important

It reflects your Monthly Per Capita, Tribal Notices, Election (for voting) and Emergencies.

We receive a lot of returned mail because of wrong addresse, It would be very helpful, and beneficial to you and us that all correspondence with all the departments have the correct address. Help us stop the confusion.

If you should have any questions you can call the Tribal Office for department extension numbers @ 722-5141.

All information given to the departments will be confidential, no information will be given out to anyone without your permission.

Quarterly Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, February 27th, at 10:00 am.

Meeting will be held in the Tribal Auditorium, And Lunch will be provided.

ATTENTION: SUMMER YOUTH WORKER FOR 2018:

2018 Summer Youth Participant’s W-2 form. Can be pick-up at the Human Resource Office. If participant, or parents/guardians are unable to pick up, please contact our the Human Resource Office and provide a mailing address, and provide the name of the individual, whom may pick it up on their behalf.

ATTENTION: PARENTS/GUARDIAN OF UINTAH RIVER HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS:

Uintah River High School will be holding their 3rd Quarter Parent Teacher Conference on Tuesday, February 12th, from 4:00 – 5:30 pm.

ATTENTION: PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCE:

Centennial Elementary School Parent Teacher Conference, Wednesday, February 6th from 3:30 – 7:00 pm, and

Thursday, Feb. 7th, 3:30 to 7:00 pm.

Appointment can be set up through your student’s teachers through the Bloomz app. If you have any questions, contact the front office. Also, I will be there accepting Ute Tribe Tutor/Mentor (UTTM) applications; If you haven’t already submitted one. This application allows the UTTM’s of CES to track your student’s academics and offer them tutoring if need be. The UTTM room is located in the second grade pod room 101.

NEWS UPDATE FROM THE UTE TRIBE SENIORS PROGRAM:

The Ute Tribe Senior Program is for those fifty-five years old (55) and older, enrolled with the Ute Indian Tribe.

Thursday, Feb.14th – Valentine’s Day activities & lunch, also we’ll make some presentation.

Monday, Feb. 18th – Tribal Offices will be closed for Presidents Day.

Tuesday, Feb. 19th – Last day to sign-up for Ira Hays trip, contact Ute Tribe Motor Pool.

Ute Senior Exercise program: Monday’s & Wednesday’s from 1:15 – 2:00 pm. Points are being counted for participation, prizes/awards will be presented in May.

GRANTS INFORMATION:

Ute Tribe Senior Title VI, Grant-Meals & Grant Transportation for 2018-2019:

The Ute Senior Center meal service is a regular nutritional meal program this is to benefit tribal members ages of 55years and over whom live within the service areas. Meal service is from 11:30 to 12:30 pm. Monday to Thursday, except holidays or tribal events. The Ute Tribe Motor Pool is helping by transporting Tribal Seniors.

Ute Tribe Senior Title VI, Ute Caregiver support program for 2018-2019:

The Ute Senior program is here to give support. We will be offering classes or events in coordination with other tribal programs. Respite care for tribal seniors during these times at the Ute Senior Center from 8am to 4:30 pm. Monday thru Thursday plus lunch is provided at the center from 11:30 to 12:30 pm.

Caregiver requirements: 1) must be non-working individual over 18 years of age and main caretaker to tribal senior, or a non-working enrolled tribal senior whom has legal custody of grandchild.

Meal Information:

As required by Federal Grant guidelines, we cannot leave food outside homes and the BC requires check-in on seniors. So when absent from home due to medical appointments or emergencies call the office.

The Fort Duchesne/Richardson/Hilltop, Randlett/Sunshine, Yellow/Whiterocks Rd (lower) and Whiterocks/Whiterocks Rd. (top) are currently the only meal service areas.

The Ute Senior Winter Heating program is still available: Services are from October 2018 to March 2019. Also we have calendars for senior only.

REMINDER: Remember to leave water running at night to prevent pipes from freezing call UIT Maintenance. The UIT Building Rehab program is helping with driveways for tribal seniors.

UP-COMING ARTS/KIDS:

Painting, Beading, Dancing, Storytelling and more. Will be held at the St. Elizabeth Church in Whiterocks.

Come express yourself, expand your imagination, explore your heritage with local artist, have fun and make new friends.

Wednesday, January 23rd to February 27th, from 4:15 to 6:45 pm, with dinner included.

Opened to Kids and Teens ages 6 to 17. No cost to participants.

UPDATE FROM PAINTED HORSE PROGRAM:

Zumba - Tuesdays/Thursdays, beginning at 5:00 – 6:00 pm, at the Head Start Administration Building.

Zumba – Wednesdays, at 5:15 – 6:15 pm, at the Head Start Administration Building.

Step Aerobics – Mondays at 5:15 – 6:15 pm, held at the Uintah River High School Commons area.

Body Resistance training – 5:15 – 6:15 pm, held at the Uintah River High School Commons area.

Snowboarding – at Sunlight Resort – (date to be determined later.)

Swimming – date to be determined later.

Friday, Feb. 22nd , Spend the night in Casa Grande, Az.

Saturday, Feb. 23rd , Leave at 7:00 am, for Sacaton to attend the parade & daily activities at the fairgrounds.

Sunday, Feb. 24th , Return home and Spend the night in Towaoc, Co.

Monday, Feb. 25th , return home.
