Finally. A low cost Health Plan for uninsured adults. PCN (Primary Care Network.)
Open Enrollment for all adults, February 1-28th , 2018.
PCN covers services for uninsured adults such as:
Visits to a primary care provider
Four prescriptions per month
Dental exams, cleaning, filings, routine X-rays, tooth extractions
Routine Lab services and X-rays
Limited coverage of emergency room visits
Emergency medical transportation
Birth control methods.

UPDATE FROM THE UTE TRIBE LIHEAP PROGRAM:
The heating program is ready to disburse application and except forms, come into the Ute Family Services lobby to pick-up an application.
The office is located in the Ute Family Service Building. Business hours: Monday – Thursday from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm.

UPDATE FROM THE UTE TRIBE SENIOR CITIZENS PROGRAM:
The Senior Program is for those 55 years of age or older, and enrolled member of the Ute Indian Tribe.
Wednesday, February 14th – Senior’s Valentine Day’s luncheon.
Monday, February 19th – Holiday.
Wednesday, February 28th – Movie sponsored by the Ute Recreation Program.
Ute Senior exercise program: sponsored by Painted Horse every Mondays & Wednesdays, at 11:00am.
Ute Tribe Senior Title VI meals & Transportations:
The senior center meal service’s is from 11:30 – 12:30 pm. Monday – Thursday, except on holidays/tribal events.
Lunch Fee: for those 55 under and children.
Home Bound: meals are for those seniors over 55 years of age, and unable to leave their homes. Also if you are not going to be home due medical appointment please let us know.
There is a problem with dogs. Please keep animals tied up or away from staff. If this problem persist other accommodations will be made, this is for our workers safety.
All Ute Seniors call in advance for Transportation:
Transportation scheduling is from 8:30 – 4:00 pm. Monday thru Thursday, except on holidays/tribal events. Regular meal pick-up is from 10:30 – 11:30 am.

NEWS FROM THE UTE LANES YOUTH BOWLERS:
Our bowlers are getting their bowling form and techniques and getting ready for our 1st Tournament. This is the Annual Utah State Pepsi Tournament that will be held at Big city Bowl in Midvale, Utah, on February 24th & 25th . Our Bowlers are vying to represent Utah in the National Pepsi Tournament in Texas June 2018.
BETTER LATE THAN NEVER: I MISSED THIS LAST WEEK, MY APOLOGY:
The Union High School Cougarettes went to State Drill Semi-Finals on Friday, February 2nd to compete against 18 other 3A Utah High School Teams. Union Courgarettes placed in their pod and moved on the the Saturday finals where they placed top 5 beating out the fourteen other 3A teams. Congratulations to Union High Cougarettes for placing 5th overall in 3A at the State Drill Competition and for theonly school to receiving the sportsmanship award. Next the Cougarettes will be competing at Drill Nationals in Las Vegas. Go Union High School.

UINTAH AND OURAY RESERVATION RANGE INVENTORY TEAM:
Hiring 6 Field Technicians for Summer 2018.
Utah State University, in collaboration with the Northern Ute Tribe, the Bureau of Indian Affairs, and the Natural Resource Conservation Service, seeks to hire summer seasonal technicians to collect data for a range condition inventory of the reservation that provide baseline information to support land management decisions. Approximate employment dates are May 8th through the mid to late August.
